Divergent is a book by Veronica Roth, who is New York Times’ bestselling author. The book issued in 2011 and later it became a movie. Divergent takes place in a future Chicago, which is a city divided into five sections. The first faction is the Abnegation, which the main characteristic is selflessness and they are the government. The second faction is the Erudite, which have knowledge as their main characteristic and they are the scientists. The Dauntless, which characterize bravery, they are the police – soldiers. The next faction is the Candor, which characterize as honest and they are lawyers, and the last faction is Amity, which are peaceful and they are farmers. Abnegation, Erudite and Dauntless. Divergent are threats for the factions, especially for the
Dauntless and Erudite. So, Tris has to be very careful, to pass the Dauntless initiation test and then to become a Dauntless member. Otherwise, she will be factionless, which means she will live homeless at the streets. Tobias Eaton is the 18 years old instructor of the initiates, who is also transfer from Abnegation. Tobias’ father, Marcus Eaton, is the government’s chef, and he works together with Tris’ father. Tobias’ nickname is Four, because he is the only one who has just four fears in the fear simulation. Erudite and Abnegation have conflicts; Erudite faction writes articles against Abnegation and they criticize Abnegation’s policy. During Tris’ initiation, Tris and Four come really close. Four helps Tris to complete successfully her initiation, without being perceived from the Dauntless leaders, that she is Divergent,
