My parents were different from most parents. They were significantly strict and didn’t want me to go out as much. Sometimes they aggravate me by being hypocritical on what they say. For instance, I would get mad and explain a situation as kindly as possible, and then they would sit me down for a lecture on not to yell, when in reality they’ve been yelling the entire time! I remember for approximately two years we lived like scum, barely scraping by. There was nothing we could do. We soon adopted a routine of arguing and fighting with them next door on a daily basis. Despite all the bickering, Baz gave my family hope. He was like an older brother to me. If it weren’t for him, my corrupt uncle would have gotten away with his scheme and our lives would have been destroyed. Baz personally told us he abandoned any ties towards his father and didn’t even want to consider him as his father due to all the chaos he caused. Baz even moved into our house and never gave up on our family. He would always go out of his way to help our family in any way
