The book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald had Nick as a narrator. People ask is Nick a good narrator? Nick is a reliable narrator for a few reason he got to view everyones life and got to hear their secrets. He saw affairs that turned for the worse at the end;he doesn't lie and he barely drank throughout the book.He saw how everyone grasped on what people said by their reactions. Nick was on a roller coaster of happiness, disappointment, secrets and death.
Nick Carraway, saw his cousin Daisy love for money and her not caring about anything else. Since Tom is family, Nick got to see things. How the book manage to persuade Tom in the book he seems to be an awful man that wants something different. With going with Tom on journeys, He saw Myrtle and George B. Wilson. “ “I want to get one of those dogs,” she said earnestly. “I want to get one for the apartment. They’re nice to have- a dog.” ” (27) Myrtle just wants to be rich and have love, as this what she in the book above shows. George B. Wilson just wants to have Toms car and his wife back. Jay Gatsby, Nick lived next to him and since they were “friends” Nick knew a lot about him. He knew Gatsby had a “business” that he could have joined and that Gatsby was obsess over the past. ““Can’t repeat the past?” he cried incredulously

The first day Nick meet Gatsby he wanted to be like him. He admired what Gatsby life was, full of money and happiness. Nick also admire him because he never gave up his dream and he didn't do everything right, but the right reason is what he believed in. Nick had a lot of things that he went through which involved his emotions. He was lied to a lot, this could affect how he saw things. He was saw death, and experience loneliness. Nick got drunk at the apartments in New york with Tom. This could affect how he remembers what happen durning this
