He is also the main character who seeks to change his stars with the support of his friends. Roland, Wat, and Kate would be known as Heralds in this movie because they were all friends of William. They have supported this throughout this whole journey. Whenever he was in need of something, they would be there to find a way to help him. Jocelyn would be classified as a Persephone. She seemed like a troubling lady and William was madly in love with her, but she always kept sending him mixed signals. He made certain choices in the tournament just for her to show her how much he loved her, such as taking hits to the armor on purpose in the tournament and losing. Count Adhemar would no doubt be considered the villain or the mischief maker of the movie. He puts William in jail, so that he doesn’t have to face him in the jousting tournament, and when William gets out of jail to face Count Adhemar, Count Adhemar cheats by using a pointed tip against Will. He stabs him in the shoulder blade that he uses to lift his spear with. Lastly, Geoffrey Chaucer would be classified as the Threshold Guardian because Geoffrey helps Will become a knight by training him and by making go through some rough obstacles.
