The Odyssey is about god's. This picture reminded me of a god, such as Odysseus. The dude seems strong like a god. There is a Centaur in the background and that reminds me of Greek gods. The guy in the art is wearing gauntlets on his arms, and his man skirt without a shirt reminded me of a Greek god. In the Odyssey Odysseus is described as being strong and powerful. The man in the picture looks like he had access to styling products for his hair which Odysseus never had access too. Odysseus also has a much curlier beard in the pictures I have seen of him. In the book there is more than one character; and in the picture I found there is only one and a statue in the back. I think that the guy in the picture is cooler than Odysseus because his pose is pretty fire. The two don't really have that many differences. Although, I like the guy in the picture better I have to say that the Odyssey gives a better example of a hero.
The Odyssey is detailed, describes more about Odysseus and what he has done. He had to make decisions that could kill him or kill the people he cared about. Odysseus also has a cool bow that only he could string. He was also heroic because he fought mythical beasts. The picture guy may have done nothing heroic. He might have just been there for a photo shoot trying to make money. He might have been trying to earn money for college which could make him a hero... but just not
