Who Is The Flyer In Darren Shan's Cirque Du Freak

Improved Essays
The book that I did my project on is “Cirque Du Freak”, by Darren Shan and the book tells a story about a boy named Darren and how he came across the circus that changed his life. For the book project, I made the flyer that was used in the story to influence Darren and his friends into deciding to go to the circus. This flyer has a lot of importance in this story because this flyer is what convinced Darren to go to the circus and see the performance. One day, Darren’s friend named Alan came across the flyer that he had stolen from his brother to show the group the circus act that was coming to town. The circus act was called, “The Cirque Du Freak”, and they were going to perform one night only in an abandoned building across town. Eager to …show more content…
Suddenly Darren’s sister barges into his room and startles him, causing him to lose control of Madam Octa. Madam Octa then bites and fatally wounds Steve in the process of this commotion. Darren then panics and runs off to go find Mr. Crepsley for the spider antidote, but in order to pay it off Darren had to become Mr. Crepsley's vampire assistant. In order to save his best friend's life Darren agrees and becomes a half-vampire. Mr. Crepsley says that Darren could no longer live a human life and that he had to break free away from this past in order to be a vampire. So Mr. Crepsley fake Darren’s death by breaking his neck and throwing him out the window. Since Darren is half-vampire his wound heals up quickly, then a normal person would. Darren’s family, then holds a funeral and buried his body in the cemetery. At night when no one is to be seen, Mr. Crepsley digs Darren up so he can finally be his vampire assistant and that is how the book ended. As you can see the flyer is really important in the story because without it all of this would of never been possible. Darren would still of been a human and living his normal life. No one would of been injured from the spider and everything would've finished off perfectly. Unfortunately, that's not how the story ended and it has a much deeper sadder

I personally liked the story better and the story and play I am going to compare and contrast is the celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras county. The story was like the play in many ways however, there were some major differences. Some ways it was alike was how they portrayed the character Jim Smiley.…

In the book she works with Marc, the most popular and athletic person in school, Aaron, a rude but super intelligent guy and Anjali a pretty, kind yet mysterious girl.…

Bomb My book was on the race to build and steal the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb was being created in the U.S and they took some of the smartest people to try to help build it because they were trying to split atoms. It played probably the biggest role in world war 2 because if they had not gotten the 2 bombs made in time the Japanese could have ended up winning the war but instead they got it finished and they dropped them on japan. Maybe the person who played the biggest part in the building of the bomb was Harry Gold a professor for the University Of California who was very smart although one night when he was on a date with a girl he said he needed to take a walk and he never returned.…
