Before I read this book I never truly thought the way that you think could actually change so much about how you work. I know that we all learn and think differently but I have been taught that nobody has a bad way of thinking. But this made me realize that when we stop and really think sometimes there can be a bad type of thinking not bad as in you don’t get a result but bad as in the type of result you get. It was hard for me to barely just get past the different types of thinkers before I started thinking back to the people I know and the teachers I had. Even though the whole thing is to tell us as an educator that we should not be the same as two of these types of thinking. I have in all my years of education have seen several people

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say some of them may not have started out in this type of thinking but as the years of teaching, or even those in the first year or so, started to get more and more tiring they started to switch their way of thinking. To them they are not being greedy and unkind, they just think that everyone knows the same thing that they know. These teachers to me are the ones who scoff at the new technology that they are getting in their classroom as well as the ones who do not know how to use them when the time comes for them to. They then are also the ones who never switch things up in their lesson plans, mostly out of ease for them. As a student I saw so many of my fellow students struggle under the hand of these teachers because they were to selfish with their own time, they would rather not be doing this and are well greedy with their time. Though they technically do not meet all the standards of a selfish thinker they don’t really fit anything else any better than this one. But the quote at the end of that chapter is what makes me feel like they fit into this category. Because they don’t think that they are using selfish thinking because they have long sense tricked themselves into believing they could never be one. Yet after years they have slowly fallen into
