The great adventure of becoming one of the best footballers in the world starts, when Lionel Messi was 11 years old. By then, doctors have already investigated the main obstacle of Leo’s life, growth hormone problem, which affected him throughout the years. By this age, Messi was so small that he was as tall as an average eight-years-old child. That difference was very noticeable for everyone at the school and as well as on the football pitch. However, he did not give up and complain about his life. Lionel, as a kid, found positive moments within his circumstances. Even if he was the smallest kid in his team, Leo used his so-called “advantage” and became the quickest footballer among his teammates, using the agility as his main excellence. When he performed in his local city of Rosario in Argentina as one of the most gifted young football players of that country, sports scouts of Barcelona Football Club noticed the talent of Lionel Messi. They suggested his family to move to Spain and for Messi to be one of the students of Barcelona Football Club’s youth academy. The administration of the club has already been made aware of his illness, so they decided to pay for the treatment and help him with these health difficulties. This is a glaring example of the fact that even if someone has some kind of disability, he or she can still be very talented and successful in our society, using abilities which other people do not have. A person has to be confident about his or her success. Saying that something is impossible makes you weaker and even worsens the situation because the only way to achieve a goal is to believe that you are able to fulfill your “unachievable

A task or skill is seen as ordinary only when someone who is classified as “normal” is performing it.
