God Persuasive Speech

Hey, Ladies. Nothing should be more important to each one of us than hearing from God. Hearing from Him clearly and accurately. How do we achieve this? I believe Andrea provided us the best answer last night. We must silence all those other voices that are going on in our head - i.e. family, friends, others and even our own and adhere to one single voice. God 's!

Our goal should be to become more zealous to honor God in everything we do (Acts 22:3b) To achieve this, we must actively and intentionally run to God with our WHOLE HEART and patiently learn to wait for Him to reply. Pastor Ron Carpenter recently said, we easily give God our mind and at times our heart, but rarely our complete soul. We rarely experience God because we are so quick

No matter if we are new to serving God, new in our Christian walk with Christ, or been serving him for decades. All of us, including myself, have blind spots where we have not completely surrender or trust God wholly to direct our steps. As a result, we are lukewarm.

During the time that we live, we are hearing a common theme being echo around the world. God is calling His people to action. To be zealous and repent (Revelation 3:19). Andrea mentioned last week, "...pick a side...." Is this not what Revelation 3:15 encouraging? "That you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!" Noticed the exclamation mark. The Oxford Dictionary defines the use of exclamation mark as "something shouted" or "spoken very loudly." Merriam-Webster defines it as "strong emotion". But I prefer how Wikipedia defines the use of exclamation mark.

Used to emphasize a precautionary statement. A precautionary statement provides information concerning potential hazards. It goes on as says that it draws attention to a warning of danger, hazards....

We can choose to be cold, lukewarm or hot. John said, "I wish that you were one or the other!" (Revelation 3:15 Then he follows that statement with the words at verse 19, "...be zealous... and repent"

On our way home, I wondered did I missed something. Then my twenty-four years old daughter 's voice appeared from the back of the car with these words.

"Mom, I think I know who it was that God wanted to read that prayer out loud." She went on four about five minutes explaining the different things she was hearing. The war that was going on inside of her. The desire she had to read it, but she was struggling with overcoming her fears. She mentioned she hated reading out loud because she gets so nervous. So instead, she decided to type the prayer in her phone and was going to read it out loud in her private time.

Oh the double blessings of God! 1.To receive confirmation that I am hearing from God accurately. That He was using me in a supernatural way for His glory.
2.And to see God at work in the life of my child. Tugging at her heart and her yearning to respond.

This is what God wants for all of us. To repent! To be zealous or Hot for Him! To hear from Him in a supernatural way that no other voice supersedes what He is doing in and through you. For each one of us to step into our true identity in Christ, fully developed and permanently removing of our masks.

Amen.

Even in the midst of shock and disbelief they needed a visible reminder of God’s presence. There were no words to fix or even begin to explain the horror of their grief but my mere presence helped to point them to God’s never-failing love and presence in the midst of the worst day of their lives. When I returned home from that emotionally and spiritually exhausting visit, I immediately walked the prayer labyrinth in my backyard. As I walked and foolishly prayed for the “right words to say”. God reminded me (with a fat raindrop to the top of my head) that I was not alone, the family was not alone; God was present with us in the tears, grief and the subsequent anger and doubt after a loss of a young life filled with so much potential.…

The first message I ever gave was here a couple of years ago, and it was also on Romans. And in that message, I explained what it meant when certain words are used to begin a passage. Romans 8:28 begins with the word “AND”. When a passage starts with the word “AND”, what it means is, that it’s a connection. It’s a connection between what he has been saying and what he's about to say.…

Patrick Lencioni’s book, “The Ideal Team Player”, is a book that places emphasis on the qualities of being a team player. In order to be recognized as a team player, one must possess three essential virtues including humbleness, hunger, and smart. In the beginning, the book includes the fable of a leader, CEO Jeff Shanely, who is in distressed need to save his uncle’s company by cracking the codes of virtues and rebuilding the organizational culture. In the beginning, Lencioni tells how a mythical company must come together as one to address its noxious workplace culture. The company is considerably struggling and it is up to Jeff to establish and understand what is required to make up an ideal team.…
