Sarah’s Key is a fictional book set during the Nazis occupation of France. However, a second parallel story, set in modern times develops. The novel tells the story of 2 main characters whose lives are connected by an apartment of Paris, located in the famous Marais quarter. As the oldest character, Julie is writing an article for the anniversary of the Liberation from Nazis, the audience leaves the sheltered background of current reality and goes back to World War II.
The novel contains a gallery of interesting characters. Sara is the desperate child who, in order to save her brother Michel, takes a reckless decision, putting herself and her brother in harsh conditions. Then, there is Julie, who is a thoughtful journalist. Unfortunately, her
