A lot of people would not buy the records because of this reason, but it does promote the authenticity of the group and how they are portrayed within society. This is great for the group because in turn it sells more records which ultimately makes more money for all parties involved. On the contrary, if Run-DMC ended up denying this opportunity to make this track, then they would be portrayed as very selfish and egotistical artists. There is a difference between social corporate responsibility and being a sellout, however. In recent days, Travis Kelce, for example, has been seen in a ton of different commercials and recently the public has been sick of seeing him.
