To begin, love led Romeo and Juliet to be willing to change their identities. As Juliet suggests Romeo to change his name she says, “Romeo, doff thy name and for that name, which is no part of thee” (II.ii.47-48). This illustrates the idea of Juliet persuading Romeo into becoming someone else by another name to be together. Romeo changing his name would mean he and Juliet could be together without any disputes between the two families. Love blinded Juliet and caused her to persuade Romeo into changing his identity as a Montague.
Secondly, love caused Juliet to rebel against her mother and father’s orders. As Lady Capulet becomes aware how distraught Juliet is she suggests she marries Paris and Juliet responds, “...
