In Shakespeare's play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, several; characters’ actions led to the death of the young couple;However, Friar lawrence seems to be the most responsible for their death. Friar lawrence was the one who married Romeo and Juliet. He was the one who gave the idea to juliet to drink the potion that would make her fall asleep. At the end of the movie he was the one who wrote a letter that was supposed to be delivered to Romeo, but the letter never get to him.
Friar lawrence married romeo and Juliet secretly, so that way they can be together. The reason why Romeo and Juliet got married secretly is because the didn't want their parent to know; this is because Romeo was a montague and juliet was a capulet and their parent hated
