Who Is Responsible For Lady Macbeth's Downfall

Lady Macbeth: Furthermore, Lady Macbeth is willing to approach certain lengths to pursue with the deed of killing King Duncan. That being said, she has exposed herself in a way to make her more masculine. She doesn’t seem to detect that manly side in Macbeth therefore she tries to manipulate Macbeth in various ways. She’s frustrated but isn’t going to stop until she acquires Macbeth to follow up with the deed. Being manipulative makes her obtain Macbeth's weak mentality, then unravels his mind to do irrational schemes that make him feel more powerful and superior. Through the series of events that unfold Lady Macbeth finds herself burying her own grave. In a sense of guilt she started to experience consequences out of the norm. That had only one explanation, which was her part in the deed that has lead to her death. …show more content…
After washing the blood from his hands, he feels disconnected from himself like he's looking at someone else's hands. Also as the guilt washes over him, he feels inhumane in a way that will lead to his downfall. Through all the cruel manipulation that Lady Macbeth has put him through, he pursues killing those that are in the way of him becoming king. Becoming mentally ill makes him not live in peace, it makes him relive the guilt that has made him disconnected from reality. After hearing about his wife's death, he realizes that all the ambition he has had until this point was completely useless. Feeling hopeless and finding no meaning to anything in this part of his life. He feels that he is ready to die, therefore he has nothing to live for now that Malcolm is going to become king, and Lady Macbeth is dead.
