Who Is Responsible For Gatsby's Downfall

Jay Gatsby a poor man turned wealthy. A man with one goal; become successful. But this success was not for him it was for the love of his life, Daisy.
He loved Daisy dearly but he could never marry her poor. Thus started his journey to capture his prize. But this journey would also be the start of his demise that was brought upon him by more than just himself.
Gatsby’s downfall was caused by a number of people. The first person, himself. Gatsby’s intense desire to be rich by any means necessary caused him to get the into the illegal business of bootlegging. Which in its self could of got him arrested or possibly murdered. He was also blinded by his love of Daisy. This love made him stay when Daisy accidental murdered myrtle. Gatsby could have

Which caused her to pick tom over Gatsby and leave him without even telling him. She could have told him she didn’t love him anymore and he would of been able to flee town and avoid being shot. But her selfishness and need for someone who can provide her everything made her play Gatsby and assist in his death. She’s not the only one to assist in
Gatsby’s death.
While George Wilson was the man who delivered the shot that killed
Gatsby, he is not the one to blame. He was simply acting on pure grief and the need for revenge. Tom is really the man who should be blamed for this. He was the one having an affair with george’s wife. He was also the one who told george who Gatsby was. But Gatsby was not responsible for Myrtle’s death. It was Daisy who hit her and Tom who set Gatsby up. They are the true culprits in this story.
Ultimately Gatsby’s death was not caused by just himself but by Daisy and tom. Daisy blinded him allowing Tom to set up his death and clear his own slate.
Even though Gatsby was involved in dangerous business he was doing so for righteous cause. He was a good man in a world full of selfish and bad people.
Gatsby truly did not deserve to die like he did. It is Tom and Daisy who truly deserve that
