If you're updated with CW's latest episode of Arrow, then you already know that Ray Palmer is alive but nowhere to be found. In the last episode, we see Felicity Smoak, played by Emily Bett Rickards, listening to the last recorded voice message from Ray Palmer after cleaning and decoding the device. And on the next episode, we get to find out how Ray Palmer will be rescued and what this means for the Smoak and Queen love team.
DC Comic fanatics already know what happened to Ray Palmer when the building exploded. Palmer's voice message stated that it was his fault when toying with his suit. That means, for those who do not follow the DC-verse, that Palmer becomes The Atom - aptly named because of being accidentally shrunken to an atom's size during the accident in his lab.
Now, out of the comic book world and back to TV reality. Since Felicity and the gang now know that Palmer (played by Brandon Routh) is alive, they set out to rescue him but it's not as easy as you might think. Once Ray Palmer returns to the world of the normal-sized, Damien Darhk will stop at nothing to gain knowledge to whatever Palmer was working on in order to aid his evil plot to destroy STAR City. Darhk (played by Neal McDonough) wants to understand Palmer's technology and will not let anyone stand in his way. …show more content…
It will become a complicated "sort of" love triangle because Felicity feels guilty at not being able to find out that Ray Palmer was alive and on the side Oliver continues to struggle as a superhero, mayoral candidate and a boyfriend. Palmer doesn't harbor anger towards Felicity though because he knows it's not her fault.
And let's not forget the Lazarus Pit girls. Thea and Sara will become dangerous in the episodes to come as their blood lust surfaces. How will Team Arrow cope with all the drama and action coming their way?
