Who Is Martha Stewart Greed

Many people know Martha Stewart as an esteemed and established homemaker, television host, and popular cookbook author, however most people do not know that she went to jail for receiving illicit information about stocks and was charged with securities fraud, making false statements, and obstruction of justice. Martha Stewart became a stockbroker, and soon after she opened a gourmet take-out kitchen that soon turned into a wealthy company. Although Martha Stewart was a successful business women and homemaker, greed and fame caused her to unload large amounts of her own stock which resulted in major setbacks in her life. The stock market is very unpredictable, and it is very easy to make money quickly but to lose money just as fast. Instead of dealing with the loss of money Stewart sold her stock which resulted in jail time and possible loss of everything she had worked for in her life. After she was released from jail she was still able to run a prosperous business, showing that even when faced with difficulties in life it is possible to be as successful if not more successful than you were tomorrow. Martha Stewart, although very successful was motivated by greed to base her decision to sell stock off of illegal information from a colleague. Stewart served time in jail for securities fraud, obstruction of justice, conspiracy and lying to investigators, which caused setbacks in her life and her company. Despite the setbacks, she was able to continue the success of her business and television shows showing that although people may face challenges in their lives they can overcome them and still have flourishing
