American general, Douglas MacArthur stated "A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others.” Macarthur helps to explain that while a leader must retain the ability to stand “alone” and stick to their own decisions, in contrast, they must be capable of taking others “needs” into mind.
