Who Is Landis: Fact Or Fiction?

It is the middle of the night in a dark-unbending meadow, there is a roaring sound that led some kids out and about. In the small town of Salisbury, there was always a rumor about a grimy, unnatural, tall-shadowed alpha. that steals kids prized possessions and the kids never believed these “scary nightmare” stories when they were told by their parents, till now. A shoebox, filled with stickers and movie tickets to every place and movie he has ever gone to or seen, was Tommy’s prized possession. He just thought his friends were playing a dirty joke on him by taking it, but now he is reevaluating his assumptions and is starting to predict they are wrong. Through these “scary nightmare” stories, Landis is described to be a big-shadowed and scary, monster that had no loyal friends throughout all of his years at school. Landis used to plan revenges on all of those who did not show interest in being friends with him. The kids were always scared of this story because it is told that Landis will come to your room in the middle of the night and take your most prized possession if you have ever left a kid out of something or have not tried to be someone's friend. By the way Landis is described in the “nightmare stories”, the kids were convinced he wasn’t real but now all of those assumptions are vanishing. As the boys presented this information to the policemen at the local station, the policemen all turned to each other and started giggling and carrying on with “more important things”. Gus, an intern policeman, was standing in the back listening and as the boys were leaving with no hope, Gus increased their hope just by yelling, “Wait, were you guys talking about the guy Landis, the same guy that is told in stories that are heard when you’re a kid?”
“Yes, that’s him!” Tommy replied with a little rush of excitement. “So, can you help us out?” Gus gave the boys his number to give him the information when they left, “Okay, well here is my contact information, just right when you leave here, send me the pictures and I’ll get to it tonight!” Gus, in a close to a whisper, told the four boys.
