After his conviction, five months to be exact Malcolm Wallace was employed by Tempco inc., of Garland, Texas where he worked until a month after LBJ was sworn in as vice president, in February 1961, he was transferred to the Anaheim, California offices of ling Temco Vought, which required a background check by the U.S navy notwithstanding his murder conviction in 1961, Ling Temco Vought got Wallace a security clearance, raising suspicions of involvement with Lyndon Baines Johnson. Lyndon Baines Jjohnson worked with Temco as an administrator for fifteen years. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Wallace was killed about 7:35 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 1971 in a single car event. He appears to have fallen asleep at the wheel, running his car off the road 3.5 miles south of Pittsburg, Texas on U.S. 271. Barr McClellan writes that Wallace "had to be eliminated.
