Most of these girls don’t even realize it until they become older like their 20’s. Actresses are great examples of this pressure. It’s not just media advertising the need to look a certain way, it can be something like family. Families, whether they realize it or not, could be contributing or encouraging the eating disorder. They may not intend to do so, but it does happen. Sometimes, it’s just messing around with someone about their weight or something as plainly just coming out and saying something about their body that drives them to believe they need to lose weight, but not many do it in a healthy way.
