Hercules is the Roman name for the greatest hero in Greek mythology. As most other heroes, he had a god as one of his parents, which makes him a powerful demigod. Because of this fact, his powers and strength allow him to do amazing things that fascinate us. He completed 12 hazardous labors placing him in harm's way. Through his perseverance Hercules displayed periods of both adherence and devotion. Hercules has become one of the most beloved characters of all time, and is still seen today as an ideal hero that many people can relate to and aspire to be like. Hercules was challenged to do certain tasks that forced himself to put his life on the line. The labors he was tasked to complete displayed solid examples of dedication and determination. His first labor involved him killing the Nemean lion. “This was no easy feat, for the beast's parentage was supernatural and it was more of a monster than an ordinary lion.” To complete this mission, Hercules covered the lions …show more content…

Hercules’ actions can be described as resourceful, strong-willed, and most significantly magnanimous.
