Who is Harriet Tubman? Harriet Tubman was a huge impact in history in the 1800’s. She was so brave and kind because she risk for life for others freedom. Harriet let nothing get in her way she kept on fighting until she got what she wanted. Tubman was a big inspiration to so many people, and was a true hero. Harriet was born into slavery so they don't have an exact birth date for her but she claimed to be born in 1825 in Maryland. When she was born she was named Araminta Ross later in her life she gets married and changes it to Harriet. Harriet's childhood was cut short because a round the age of 5 because she was hired to take care of babies for her first job. She had to do this job at night so the babies didn’t cry and wake up the mother.
