Death, Love, Life, Murder! George Patton was a rising leader in the world as a young boy. The future famed World War Two General always had a knack for leadership. General George S. Patton was a tank commander during the Second World War that managed to do unbelievable things in war. His men respected him and hated him at times. Since Patton was such a great leader he got business done. George Patton was a great American hero that had a knack for leadership and lead America to success even though everyone thought that his ideas wouldn’t work (and were extremely crazy). The injury just happened to be related to his sword fighting. He learned how to be a swordsman from a school in Kansas by the name of the Mounted Service School. In 1915 along the southern United States border General Patton was exposed to a real battle for the first time. He was assigned to lead cavalry troops in a battle against forces from Mexico. Th force commander, Pancho Villa. Patton served as aid to General Pershing (John J. Pershing) during this battle. Patton also tagged along in General Pershing unsuccessful 1916 battle with the enemy forces commend by Villa. World War One—The United States entered the war in 1917. Patton already had aided General Perishing so he accompanied him to Europe. Assigned first officer to the United States Tank Corp, Patton began to build a reputation for his remarkable leadership skills and his amazing understanding of warfare. Patton’s reputation began to boom when the U.S. and British troops won the battle at Cambrai in France. This was the first major battle with tanks and Patton showed his worth. After some time of doing nothing he was called in by his old friend Omar Bradley. Bradley had a plan that President/General Ike picked for him before he was relieved of his duty with the Seventh Army. When he assumed the role of Commander of the Third Army. His Third Army broke through into northern France and was pursing Nazi Forces. In 1954 Patton led his army into Germany while getting his hands on 10,000 miles of Nazi territory and insure it was out of Nazi control. General Patton was removed from control of the Third Army in the later month of 1945.
In October of 145 after being relieved from his duty of the Third Army he relaxed. Sadly at the age of 60 Patton was hit by an automobile in around Mannheim Germany. A long 12 days of pain and suffering due to a broken neck on December 21, 1945 a great leader and probably one of the ebst tank commanders that our world will say for a long time died at a hospital in Heidelberg.
1970—Decades later people that admire Patton and wanted the World to see him for what he did and not just the bad things put Patton’s face on the big screen. The movie Patton was released and won seven Academy Awards and to this day the movie is adored and watched by
