Ernest Hemingway After reading Ernest Hemingway’s biography and his famous novels that he wrote, he was an intelligent author, and did other amazing work outside of his career. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois, from 1899 and passed away on 1961. In the beginning of his profession, he started as a writer in a newspaper office in Kansas City at age seventeen. Also when the United States entered the World War 1 era, he wanted to fight in the war, which he did, in the ambulance unit in the Italian army. After volunteering in that position, he was serving in the front, and he got injured, and the government had seen his wounds, so he was send to different hospitals. This novel became a “Book of the Month Club” pick, and made Ernest Hemingway even more successful that he already was. Also this book got the “Pulitzer Prize in Literature” in 1954. He looked at himself as a very passionate sportsman, Hemingway loved to pay tributes to soldiers, respecting those that fought, hunters, and even had an interest in bullfighting too, he used to travel to different continents to hunt. He lived a great life after being released from the World War 1 and entered the newspaper and novel field, and his life was starting to fall out of place when was having affairs with women. That was when he wrote, “The Sun Also Rises”, that book nearly summarizes his life after the war, trying to overcome his injury, bettering off his career, and trying to find somebody who can love him just the way he is, appreciate his works, not only love his money, and spend the rest of their lives together forever. And after creating that same book, Ernest Hemingway and his wife got a divorced, only because he was seeing another woman (Biography). So he agreed to marry his second wife and continued to write more books, and there was one titled, “Men Without Women”. It symbolizes the after effects of divorced couples, and those men who split with their former wives
