In Ender’s Game, when Peter and Valentine Wiggins decided to create online alias to protect their identities while expressing their opinions on various political issues. Peter Wiggins’ alias was Locke, which very obviously alludes to the previously mentioned English philosopher, John Locke. Peter’s alias, Locke, often time believing that we as a society can discuss our political issues instead of fighting with one another, but he combined that with his persona so that his alias could not only be a voice of reason, but could also “play on other people’s fear” (Card 1992)
