Ultimately, Donald Trump’s victory in this election will be good for America. He has the education and experience in business and finance to know how to be successful in these areas; hopefully, he will treat the United States as his new “business” and he will improve our economy and high levels of national debt using his fiscal knowledge. He also will provide jobs for the unemployed by making it easier on businesses to keep more of their income and therefore be financially able to hire more people. Many people believe that he will allow more people to start and expand their small businesses because of his plan to lower business tax. He knows how to run a successful business, and he will develop his ideas about how to handle foreign policy based on statistics and what will be best for our country. He most likely will define his own “success” in Office as the number of jobs he is able to create, improving economy, and helping the stock market, since these ideas were stressed time after time in his campaign (Shapiro, Fox News). Trump will accomplish his goals only if he has good judgment and realizes that every single he does and says is observed and criticized. Trump is very focused on “making America great again,” and Canadians are worried he will want United States citizens to only purchase and sell goods which were made in America. If this were to happen, Canada could lose a lot of money because they sell and trade a large portion of their goods to the United States (Ahmed, New York Times). Although Canada was a little concerned about Trump being elected President, they also were proud of their own country. Many Americans began to declare that they planned on moving to Canada as a way to get away from President Trump, and some even took measures to begin the process of moving.
