Who Is Barack Obama A Hero

On November 4, 2008, this country witnessed a life changing moment in history. The first visibly black male became The President of the United States. I remember watching the results come in while sitting in my mom’s room. Everyone in the room broke out in prayer, tears, and pure and utter joy for our future. Barack Hussein Obama came into the oval office with a vision for change to redesign our country. President Obama is someone that many people look to as a symbol of hope and integrity; he is a hero. Honestly, Barack Obama’s whole presidency was a movement for more freedoms, justice and and better life for all. Barack Obama took this country by the handles, fought and pushed it forward.

He has changed the minds and beliefs of people. Obama has fought to maintain the rights that we, as Americans, all have. When it comes to racist or stereotypical comments, President Obama not only fought to defy them, but hasn’t even allowed them. President Obama never allowed people to say “Muslims are terrorists”, or “minorities are undeserving.” He saw the struggle of people in this country and was determined to make a change. He never looked at people in poverty and said it's up to them to get themselves out. He gave them opportunities to better their lives that previously were not an option.
Barack and Michelle Obama have really pushed for higher education but not only have they pushed, but they have motivated. Michelle and Barack are leaders, mentors and counselors to this whole country. The two combined, have motivated millions of young people across the country that they can be and do whatever they want. In addition, Michelle Obama has indeed made this country proud; for that we are all blessed to have had both Michelle and Barack to lead us in so many aspects of our life for the past eight years.
