Upon evaluating my own personality as a student in Organizational Behavior I took the Big Five test. The results reflected that I was introverted, had low agreeableness, high conscientiousness, low emotional stability, and a very low openness to experience. I have learned many things from the McGraw-Hill Connect Self-Assessment that will help me be a better employee, coworker, and or manager. I have to understand that there are people within the office that potentially may or will have differing personality characteristics than mine. By understanding and recognizing these differences I will be better suited to work with anyone in my organization. I tend to work well with anyone regardless, however I will be able to see what motivates my coworkers. If I am in a management role or the person in charge of a project I will be able to use personality differences to my advantage to where I can place employees where they are the strongest in order to help with team dynamics when we are forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning.…

From my past experience, I believe that creativity is the discovery of something new and thinking outside the box in order to make way for new innovations. I Rickards’ (1985) definition of creativity advocates the same idea. He defines creativity as ‘the personal discovery process… that leads to new and relevant insights’. He also supports a view that portrays creativity to be the discovery of new and meaningful perspectives, or as an ‘escape from mental stuckness’. In this sense, Rickards also supports the belief that creativity is an inherently individual act (Von Stamm, 2008).…
