It is very humorous how clueless the characters are by not seeing Abigail's obvious actions. For instance, in Act two, John Proctor one of the main characters and the tragic hero in the play. He had an affair with Abigail and becomes aware of what is happening. He said,"Why do you never wonder, if Parris be innocent, or Abigail? Is the accuser always holy now...little crazy children are jangling the keys of the kingdom...I will not give my wife to vengeance!" This means that there is obviously a physical force causing the negative factors, but no one is looking for the logical part of it. Only the things that wouldn't cause it at all. This is the plot caused and planned by Abigail, because one she is trying to save herself and second, wants John Proctor's wife
