Personal Narrative: My Aunt Jane Doe

Improved Essays
We live in a world that is actually shocking for people to tell the truth. I do not agree with people who live their lives like that especially when they are lazy and hypercritical. My Aunt Jane Doe is the queen of that especially when my aunt will lie to get out of anything. I will say nee-ther and she will say ny-ther just to start a fight. Some people are not ready to grow up and act like adults even though they have made bad decisions for themselves that should have made them grow up faster. The person in my life that that I can’t agree with and hurts my family is my aunt Jane Doe.

Suzan, the daughter is the most perfect girl alive according to Jane Doe. Even though she stole clothes and money from my sister. Suzan also tells the biggest lies just to get all the bad attention off her and on someone else. Jane Doe and her daughter even try to get me in trouble even though I babysat for her and kept her out of trouble in school. Suzan said that I was bullying her and her friend and I was spreading rumors about her. The next day my aunt called my mother saying “you need to control your kid and he needs to grow up before I call the cops”. My dad grabs the phone as hard as he can then said called the cops and let’s see what really happen. The next day their state troopers talking to my dad and I saying if any of this is true I am going to get arrested in class. I waited all day to hear that nothing was true and we didn’t even look at each other in the hallway. Everything got quite for a week or so then my aunt called us and still wouldn’t let it go even though she got proved wrong. Everything calmed down when we learned that Suzan got caught with weed on it with her name on the bottle. Suzan said it was one of her friends and aunt Jane Doe believe her. My aunt also believed Suzan when she stole expensive clothes from my sister even though she got caught wearing them because she said she thought it was one her friend jeans and shirt. I understand that some people are not smart enough to get a better job than waitressing, but my aunt is. My aunt is just too lazy and won’t do anything to put her ahead. I could not be her for a day. I would feel like a fat slob who is just using the government to get herself through life. I do give her props that she is involved in her daughter life and tries to be friendly to her family. Honestly family is more important than anything. Especially when you believe in god and want your family to be successful in life. My aunt wants to make sure we are living like model citizens even though she will being doing the opposite. I think if my aunt had a better education she might have done something in her life. I really hope she would, but I don’t think she would have because I don’t think she could handle a real job.
From just thinking of why my aunt will live this way I learned that not everyone can pump themselves up to go to work almost every day and do a real job. Not everyone can grow up from high school and act live a civil citizen. I need to be able to look at other people perspective because you will judge people differently. Everything will make more sense on why they said it and where they are coming. I will understand that some people need some help to stay ahead because they can’t handle

There are a lot of obstacles that we as America’s youth face, weather it is a problem we created or someone else’s doing. The problem becomes cumbersome when you retaliate in an ineffective way. My grandmother always told me “it’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” In order to change the direction of your retaliation to things you have to know yourself and be able to effectively articulate yourself. My vision for America’s youth is to learn their selves, be comfortable in their skin, and effectively articulate their selves to initiate change in their lives and the lives of others.…
