We reach Whitman Mission and figure out that it is very deserted. We only saw a family of four on a wagon. But we did discover that one month earlier the Cayuse Indians attacked the mission and killed many people. So that might explain why Whitman Mission has barely any people. We decided not to go get supplies because we didn't need them and we were just so anxious to get to Oregon City! But before we reached Oregon City, we had to go through Dalles. Here you take the Barlow Road around Mount Hood. This part is one of the most dangerous parts but fortunately one of the lasts. We are very exhausted but have the determination to finish.
