One thing that has challenged me a little bit during this quarter was when we talked about white privilege. I took an ethnic studies course with a really intense professor at WSU last year, and we read one of the same articles on white privileged then, as we did in this class. In the class at WSU, while reading this piece, this professor made me and others feel guilty about being white by flat out telling us that we should, and though kind of unsure why I felt really upset about it. But during this quarter, with calmer, kinder hearted professors, I feel that during this quarter I have challenged my previous ideas on white privilege.
