I really don’t care if transgender people use the bathroom they identify with, they have been for years without it being a real problem. But pre transitioned transgenders are of a different topic. There has been so much controversy because essentially anyone who claims to be transgender will be able to use the restroom of their choice, and no one would be able to differentiate a true transgender person from someone who wants to use the other restroom. Gender neutral bathrooms seem like a good idea, but then there is the subject of rape which cannot ever be overlooked, it is far too important. This is a very grey area that I am truly glad is no longer in the hands of the federal government. Maybe people should just avoid using public restrooms. Then there is the similar but different issue of locker rooms. Locker rooms are separated by gender to protect students, so how do we both protect transgendered students and cisgendered students? I wish I could say there was a simple solution, perhaps have four locker rooms rather than two. One for cis males, one for cis females, one for transgender males, one for transgender female. Hopefully local and state governments will be able to come up with a better solution than I
