White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies Research

Decent Essays
There are a huge variety of cookies in the world, but White Chocolate Macadamia nut cookies are the cookies I would choose over any other cookie. White Chocolate Macadamia nut cookies are not too sweet and not too salty, but just right. They contain Macadamia nuts which add a slight enjoyable crunch to the cookie. The interior is extremely soft and chewy. The experience the cookie provides is overwhelmingly satisfying. One of the key factors that makes the cookie so tasty is the white chocolate chips. I prefer white chocolate over milk chocolate due to the after taste it leaves. A white chocolate chip is outstandingly creamy and milky. It does not leave you with a bitter aftertaste. Instead, it leaves you with the desire for more.

Ever since 1975, when Samoas were introduced as the new addition to the Girl Scout Cookies, they have grown to have a special place in customers' hearts (Girl Scout Cookie Timeline and Trivia). The cookies have the perfect combination of chocolate, coconut, and caramel, all mixed together to form one delicious, as well as nutritional, cookie. Because of this, they are an American favorite, helping boost the sales Girl Scouts make every season. Samoas may have not been one of the original cookies introduced as the Trefoils have, but by their superior taste, healthier nutritional values, and impressive sale statistics, it is evident that when compared to Trefoils, Samoas are the better Girl Scout cookies. In this experiment, I found the Macadamia nut to provide the most energy per gram of nut. I found this by dividing the calories released by the mass of the nut. When I did this calculation for the peanut I found the average values for energy released to be 1.685Cal/g. When I did these calculations for the Macadamia, I found the average to be 2.62Cal/g. The Macadamia nut also provided a higher percentage burned than the peanut did, the Macadamia nut was 70% burned while the peanut burned 50%. Trial 1 and 2 data’s for both nuts were consistent and close in range.…

Once that structure is lost, it begins to flatten out; making us have flat, round cookies! The Rise explains that about 212 degrees Fahrenheit the water inside of the cookie dough turns into steam, making the cookie start to rise. As the vapors push through the dough, these gases produce the holes we see in a cookie; which also makes it light in weight. This explains why when you first roll the dough and put it on the cookie sheet, it is heavier than once you have taken it out the oven, after baking.
