White Weddings A few years ago, my brother and his girlfriend of six or seven years decided to get married, it took that long because they always seperated and got back together over and over again. The wedding wasn’t really all that big, it was basically just some family in the basement of a church. My brother was wearing a black suit, but his girlfriend was wearing a long white dress. Nobody else at a wedding wears white, so why does the bride have to? What does the color white represent at a wedding? Everything else at my brother’s wedding was also white. For example, the curtains on the windows, the table cloths, and all of the other decorations was white. What does the color white represent? I believe the color white represents purity.

There are many negatives to wearing a white dress, which includes, it being easy to stain, it’s costly, it’s unflattering, delicate, conformist, and inflexible. I remember a couple years ago, I went to a wedding of a family member where all of the decorations and everything was white. Me personally, I think white is just to plain. I don’t mind having a white wedding, but I wouldn’t want everything white, I would need to add some color so it wouldn’t be so plain and boring. So, if you choose to have your wedding outside where there 's a chance of you getting muddy or dirty than wearing a white dress might not be a very good idea. Also, if you plan on drinking red wine or other darker drinks, then you should think of wearing a darker colored dress so if you do spill anything on your dress it 's not as noticeable as wearing a white dress. So, in other words, if you have ideas of having your wedding where your dress could get marked or stained then you should think of wearing any color of a dress other than white or other light colored dresses where the mark or stain is easily
