My parents was addicted to drugs and alcohol while me and my siblings was in and out of foster care until I was about 9 years old. That 's when one of my sisters died of asthma and pneumonia because her medical needs was not being taking care of properly. I grew up in an unstable home where all I knew was arguing and fighting was the only way to communicate. Where alcohol and drugs was the only way they could get along or cope with there problems. I grew up where me and my siblings never had a chance to experience a lot of stuff that our friends did. My mom never had the money because she had to support 6 children which in fact now that I have my own kids I know is extremely hard. Now that I am older and it seemed like my life was going down that same path I am determined that my children will have a better life than what I did growing up. I want them to know that there is more to life than what they see there parents go through. I want to be able to give them all they deserve. I am determined to change my life around to make sure that they have a better life. I am willing to do whatever it takes although I know that it may be a rocky road but I am willing to be brave enough to fight this battle through. When I get to the point of wanting to give up I always reflect on my childhood and say to myself I am determined to get through this no matter
