There are several experiences , obstacles and hurdles that has shape my character and the person that I am but I will only share a few.
I had emigrated from the offshore Caribbean island of Haiti, a nation that is plagued by a corrupted government. A place in which a child’s education was aggrandize and perfected due to his parents’ social statute and the walk to school was always a fight between fear and bravery. Upon my immigration to the United States, I was encountered by the sudden cultural gap. I struggled with the new culture and I struggled with my academics .The pressure and expectations to progress and to close the language barrier
