Opening Scene - Young Corinne and Corbin playing as children. Strong relationship between Corinne and Corbin established. Voiceover of older Corinne talks about trust, and the safety of childhood. Childhood monsters are compared to real monsters.

School Hall Scene - Teenage Corinne and Corbin attend school. Corbin is shown more interested in his friends and girlfriend than Corinne. Corinne Feels rejected by her brother

English Class Scene - Corinne talks about “Puppy Love” with friend, David. Curtis is introduced. Corinne is immediately attracted to him.

Dining Room Scene - Corinne, Mom, Dad, and Corbin have dinner. Dad asks about Corbin’s football team, Mom gets Corinne to talk about Curtis. Corbin’s girlfriend is mentioned, as is Dad’s dislike of Tattoos. Dad leaves table to get water, mom sees burns

Counselor’s Office Scene - Corinne’s family sits in a family counselor’s office. Corbin discusses his feelings of depression and belief that Corinne is the favorite. Corinne feels superfluous to the interaction and does not engage.

Corinne’s Bedroom Scene - Corinne talks over video call with Curtis. It is established that they have a lot of things in common. It is also established that Curtis will be leaving to go back to Colorado at the end of the semester. Curtis hangs up to go to bed. Corinne realizes she needs more water and gets up.

Home Hallway Scene - Corinne heads to go get water. She sees her mom crying and praying outside Corbin’s door. Mom realizes she’s watching, gets up, hugs her and offers to get water for her. Corinne goes to bed, Mom goes to get water.

Puppy Love Scene - Corinne is working with her dogs at Puppy Love. Curtis comes and volunteers to help. They playfully wash dogs together. There is clear chemistry and they bond over the experience. David is also there and watches them with
