When we hear the word milk we think of many things. The reminisce of the doctor telling us we don’t have enough calcium. Our parents asking us if we had our glass of milk today. The unconventional saying that was stuck in your head;Got Milk? When in fact, animal milk is not healthy for humans.We are the only mammals in the world who consume milk after childhood.We have millions of dairy farms around the world yet we produce our own milk we can drink. Why should we abuse animals for milk when we have our own. Animal milk should not be consumed by humans for many reasons. The dairy farm industry is one of the most profiting companies in america. There are corporate lobbyist for the dairy farms, that lobby not only doctors but, pharmaceutical companies allowing them to believe that milk contains calcium and vitamin D. In 2011, The Journal of Bone and Mineral Research published a meta-analysis examining whether milk consumption might protect against hip fracture in middle-aged and older adults. Six studies containing almost 200,000 women could find no association between drinking milk and lower rates of fractures. A great and substantial replacement that is actually healthy for you is almond, soy, hemp, rice, and many more natural, healthy, humane replacements of milk. That taste almost virtually the same , because it’s the taste you're after; animal milk consumed by humans is unhealthy.
