Since the beginning of time, marriage has been seen very afraid act of a lifelong commitment. Many people of many different cultures have many ways that marriage is seen as. Some cultures have stronger marriage standards than others. In America, we have had a pretty standard view of marriage. This standard view is a person meeting someone, having feelings grow towards them, reaching the point of monogamy, marrying them, and starting a family. Unfortunately, the value of this sacred act has dropped significantly. The lessening number of people getting married, rising divorce rates, and faulty reasons for getting married are all valid reasons and causes for the value of marriage decreasing in this country.

Many times in marriage lasting more than a couple years one of the parties lose interest in the other. They may not think that the other person looks as good as they did, or they are not able to satisfy them the way they used to, or possibly even them could simply be just plain bored of them. These are just a few of the reasons so many people get divorced. The loss of interest often lead to other issues such as; cheating separation, and violence. Losing interest in your spouse, may seem like something that I neither party’s fault. People must realize that they are supposed to get married to that person out of love and not out of how interesting they were. This questions if they really loved their partner as they claimed.
