In an article it stated, “Winning is great, but when it comes to youth and high school football, safety, not winning, must be priority No. 1. We owe it to our children to act decisively and take these necessary steps in order to protect their brains on the football field” (Nader and Reed). This statement not only points out that when it comes to sports safety is the last to come in place but also it implies something should be done in order to protect the lives and “brains” of young children involved in sports. Since many teens and young children are involved in sports the best thing to do is to make the sport safer or add different regulations that are specific to how the game should be played in a way people won't get hurt.
