My fellow classmates, you can support me when I say that homework is an incredible burden. For example, (Call on classmate) how long would you say you spend on homework, projects, and even studying? Decently long I would think. At least a couple homework assignments, plus the amount of exams or tests we have throughout the week is stressful. It may give a student anxiety or stress for as long as they feel it is worrying them. Another example, when I was younger, I did a project for reading over the summer. It was terrible, although I needed to do it. I thought about it each day I didn’t work on it. Although it may have made me work on it and strive to finish, I was very annoyed. I am going to guess that several of you all have felt the same way before. Waiting last minute, in your bed sunday night. The cycle of a school day is even more dreadful. Wake up, get ready for school, go to school, work your butt off at school, get home, do your homework, go to bed. There is little time for anything a student wants to do in that cycle. Most likely, you go to bed late and each day it gets worse and worse because you go to bed the same time and do not get time to rest. Weekends are our savior. For example, check out this video on the impacts of homework . This video does not only talk about the amount of time homework students have per night, but also talks about the activities and time spent with friends and family. Students need time to do their homework well and thoroughly and if they rush to get to activities they enjoy doing, they may not be doing their best job. Teachers probably have some sort of superpower regarding kids who stay up late. In fact anyone can tell. One way is to spot the student with their head in class while you should be watching a video.
