When I Went Wrong With Iron Clothes

Taking on a new responsibility can be a challenging job. You may think it is going to be easy, but when it comes time for that challenge you may regret it. A part of my responsibility was ironing clothes. I wanted for a long time to iron clothes, and finally I got the chance. I didn't think it was a hard task to do, but I was wrong. Throughout my essay, you will learn the difficulties I had to face learning how to iron clothes.

Saturday, I woke up, got dressed, and ate breakfast. My mom was sleeping and my dad was at work. My mom already had her clothes out because we were going to the mall later on that day. I took her clothes, went in the laundry room, and sat them on the ironing board. She hadn't told me I could iron ,so I went into her room to ask her. She came into the laundry room,where I was, and she was looking for her clothes I told her they were on the ironing board and she went to look for them. She found the clothes and I asked her can I iron them? She told me “no” at first, but then I convinced her to let me iron them. So, I took the clothes and my mom left out of the laundry room, but I stayed and ironed her clothes. After about 20 minutes, because it was my first time, I accidentally left the iron on the clothes too long and I burned them. I was so scared, I didn't want to tell my mom, but I also didn't want to get in trouble. So, I ran from the laundry room to the bathroom got a towel, wet it with water, and started to wipe the part of the shirt that was burnt. That actually made it worse, because it was everywhere, on the clothes and on the towel! I was freaking out, so I decided to tell my mom because they say the truth shall set you free, but that day I was not set free, I was grounded with no cell phone. I mean don't feed me, take away my T.V. or anything, but not my
