When I Want To Attend College

When I began the college process in August, I knew that I wanted to attend an university that would best suit my personality and academic needs. For me, Penn State is a community that I would be honored to join. I believe that if I would be accepted, it would be the perfect environment to enrich my capabilities. Throughout my high school career, I have strived to be the best version of myself in all things, academics and athletics. As a committed member of my varsity softball team, I have learned the importance of teamwork in a group setting. Together we have formed a bond that could not be broken even by the greatest inconvenience. This skill that I have obtained over the past four years will carry over into my college years; in which I will be able to work with my fellow students in a way that is respectable and productive.
New Castle Junior/ Senior High School has taught me to push myself past my previous known academic limits. From my numerous honors and AP classes, I now inquire a need for academic fulfillment. Penn State is the school that I believe will give me the rigorous courses

Drugs and alcohol riddle the city, and most adults that live here care more about their image than what their future will hold. This is even true with some of the kids enrolled in my high school. With them, the main priority is where the next party is, or who can they date next. With all the temptations that go along with high school, it is very stressful to maneuver my way through the constant distractions. However, I have made a healthy balance between my social life and academic career. I have managed to keep my grades above average, while still experiencing things of a normal teenager. Even though peer pressure exists, I have not followed their path, but instead I have chosen to make my own. I can not be swayed from my goals and aspirations, which I know will lead me to be successful at Penn
