When I Decided To Separate Research Paper

Determined to Separate I grew up in a loving nuclear family, until I was about sixteen years old and my parents decided to separate. I used sports and extracurricular activities to cope with my parents no longer being together. My grades never dropped. I started getting acceptance letters from several different universities. I got accepted into the school where my boyfriend of two years at the time attended. I did not choice to follow him instead I decided to attend the universality of California Los Angeles. Within the same week of me starting college, I found out that I was pregnant. I still continued to stay in school. I went to class every day until the week I went into labor. I could not take my baby to live in the dorms with me therefore I moved back home with my mom. Living with my mom was very stressful. My mother did not cope well with the divorce from my father. I was not working or bringing in any income into my family home. Everything that I needed was being taken care of for me by my dad, my mom or my boyfriend. My mom suddenly grew tired of providing for me and my older brother and wanted us to fend for ourselves. Without notice my mom stopped paying all the bills, and our electricity and gas was turned off. The father of my …show more content…
As soon as I walked in the door, my mother in law asked me, why I was holding my daughter with one hand. I was not going to drop my daughter, but she felt as if I was not holding her secure enough. I was able to go back to school and finish up a semester before my life began to get interesting. My boyfriend dropped out of school and moved back to his mother’s house with me and the baby. My boyfriend and I got really involved in church and we started a gospel rap group. We started making music and was able to perform at church for youth night.
