When I Came To Mexico

I was born in Mexico and I came to Los Angeles when I was 2 years old. After 12 years my dad had fixed our papers and we finally got to visit our birthplace. After a year my mom had opened her own clothes and furniture store at Mexico. We were so proud of her; we would go every other week to take new merchandise. I always noticed this same customer, but really didn’t care for him. I just thought he liked the clothes we would take. He was so irritating coming to the store and buying a lot of stuff and once he had to pay he would take out stacks of money thinking I was impressed. Constantly being annoying and disturbing on how much money he had and the cars he owned. But what bothered me more was that he had a girlfriend and he would go to the store only to flirt with me. …show more content…
I noticed that the guy that would always go to the store was my Cousins friend and his name was Juan. I also noticed he lived three houses down from where I was staying at my grandma’s house. The whole night he would tell my cousin to call me but I really didn’t want anything to do with him. He was so aggravating. He started to walk toward me telling me he’s been calling me all night and if I was ignoring; I told him no but that he had to respect his girlfriend .he had told me he left her so that him and I can start talkin. He also told me that he had already talked to my parents and that they gave him permission to talk to me as friends. I was shocked that he wanted to talk to me so much. So I gave him a chance as friends I had a boyfriend I told him he had to respect

I come from a small country. A country that has faced different stages in its short life. My family and I often visit the west part of my country, Honduras, an area where the ancient Mayan civilization was established in the early V century AD. It’s probably a short three-hour drive, it’s nothing a snooze on the car ride can’t take. As a child, I was easily impressed when observing the whole region: buildings and locals were very different in comparison to the city I came from.…
