When I Came To America Analysis

As I sat in the living room watching TV my daughter came up and asked if she can here a story. I said “sure what kind of story do you want me to tell you” she said “a story about adventure. Please?” I said “alright I'll tell you a story about how grandma,uncle mason and I came to America or the land of opportunity as grandma called it”. When I was just a boy me and your uncle and grandma lived in Ireland I worked as a farm hand for my fathers old friend getting little pay your grandmother and uncle ate less so I could keep working and get money for food I felt bad for eating more and I would always try to give your uncle my food but your grandmother said if I tried to that she would ring me up by my throat any way one day when I was tending to the chickens your grandmother came and told me to come on were leaving. …show more content…
Your grandmother and I walked to the small house we owned I walked in side and your grandmother told me to help your uncle packing so me and your uncle started packing clothes and what ever else we would need for America it took about am hour to pack every thing but as soon as we were done we headed for America. We walked for a good while and it took about 4 days to get to the boat there were millions of people boarding the boat with there things we ran to get in line mason ran faster than me only because I was tired and could barley walk as soon as I caught up I saw a blond haired kid being in a unfamiliar place I needed a friend so I said hello he said hallo I said my name
