Throughout my entire life I was raised around vehicles and tools. In fact my earliest memories of being in the presence of vehicles is when I would sprinting from my mother's Tan ford pinto up to the Billingsley tire shop to give my father his lunch for the day. I was always fascinated by the brightly colored tools and big machines. As i got older I also recall my Dad leaving a tool box full of snap-on tools completely at my disposal to play with and naturally just as any kid I wanted to be just like my father. Some inventions such as leaf spring traction bars or slap bars gained much popularity in the drag racing sceen. The design in this invention is merely an addition to the systems already in place by the vehicle. The slap bar takes the torsional stress from the centerline of the axle and directs it over the forward facing leadspring eyelet. In my opinion for it's time he design was incredible however it did not provide much functionality other than for hard launches coupled with its eyesoring properties the idem is bulky low hanging and unattractive. What is considered today's modern rendition of the slap bar is now called a cal-track. This is another system that works with the vehicles leaf spring components to provide more traction by adding another stress portion of the leaf spring in an attempt to cure the axle wrap. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
