Three years after the release of his massively popular book implicating wheat in an astonishing array of human ills, cardiologist William Davis is now urging people to dodge all grains, wheat and otherwise. In his new book, Wheat Belly Total Health, Davis argues whole grains “disrupt, agitate and discombobulate” the machinations of the human body and that a life “ungrained” can lead to flatter stomachs, smoother skin, improved mood, sharper minds and “digestive bliss.”

Ottawa obesity expert Dr. Yoni Freedhoff says numerous studies link whole grains with a lower incidence of diabetes and of other health problems, and that no one simple solution exists to an “incredibly complex” problem such as obesity.
